The project “Pilgrimages in West Macedonia” was funded by the Region of Western Macedonia and implemented by the software development companies ViLabs and EXEO.

The project concerns the documentation, digitization, and promotion of the cultural heritage of monasteries in Western Macedonia. It includes the creation of a unified network, the development of a digital archive, the recording of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, the photography of surrounding areas, the writing and translation of texts, the development of a mobile digital tour guide application, the construction of a web portal, and the provision of training, promotion, and web marketing services.

The main objectives of the project are:

• Digitization of monuments, relics, and intangible heritage.

• Development of innovative applications and tools for presentation and guided tours.

• Strengthening and promoting the region’s cultural identity.

• Ensuring public and researcher access to the material online.

• Training users and stakeholders in managing and utilizing the material.
